Overview
Money is a local-first personal finance application provided by Graphfix Mode. This policy describes local financial records, device services, Google Play purchases, and the online analytics and advertising measurement used in versions that include Firebase Analytics. Earlier versions without that SDK do not collect Firebase Analytics events.
Information you enter
The app processes the information you choose to record, including account names and balances; transaction amounts, types, dates, notes, categories, payment modes, and transfers; budget names, periods, categories, and limits; savings goals and target dates; and scheduled-payment details.
Local storage
Financial records and preferences are stored in the app's private storage on your device. Money has no user-account system, bank connection, or automatic cloud sync for these records. Account names, balances, transaction notes and amounts, budgets, savings goals, backups, PINs, and biometric information are not intentionally included in Analytics events. Google Play Billing and Firebase Analytics communicate with Google for the separate purposes described below.
Free-plan access selections
When Pro access ends and your data exceeds Free-plan limits, Money stores your Manage Free Access choices, the selection deadline, whether the choice was finalized, and a limited local indication that Pro access previously existed. This information is kept in the app's private storage and is used only to decide which retained items remain active or read-only on Free. It is not automatically sent to the developer or a remote server.
Android system backup
Automatic Android system and cloud backup is disabled for Money to reduce the risk of financial records and security settings being copied without using the app's backup controls. Use Settings → Manage Data → Backup Now when you want to create a backup file.
Permissions and device services
Money requests notification permission so it can deliver reminders and alerts. If you use biometric unlock, Android performs authentication and returns only a success or failure result. Money does not access or store biometric templates. The system file picker, sharing panel, print service, email app, and app store are opened only when you choose the related action.
Backup, restore, export, and sharing
Manual backups contain financial records in JSON format but do not include app preferences, PIN or biometric settings, or Pro status. PDF and CSV exports contain transaction information. Files are created locally and are sent only to the storage location, printer, or app you select. You may upload a file to Google Drive or another service at your own discretion; that provider's privacy practices then apply. Backup files are not password-protected or encrypted by Money, so protect them appropriately.
Notifications
Reminder text may be visible on the lock screen or notification history according to your Android notification settings. You can disable individual reminders in the app, revoke notification permission, or change lock-screen visibility in Android settings.
Security
An optional app-lock PIN is stored as a salted hash. After three incorrect PIN attempts, PIN entry is temporarily locked for one hour to reduce unauthorized guessing. Biometric unlock remains available if previously enabled. Failed-attempt information is stored locally and cleared after successful authentication or when the lockout expires. Financial data, backups, and exports are not a substitute for full-device encryption. Keep your device lock enabled, install security updates, and avoid sharing sensitive export or backup files with untrusted apps or people.
Data retention and deletion
Local financial records remain until you delete records, use Delete & Restart, clear app storage, or uninstall the app. Backups and exports must be deleted separately wherever saved or shared. These actions do not automatically delete Analytics events or Google Play purchase records already held by Google, and they do not cancel a Pro subscription. Analytics data is retained according to the property's configured retention controls and Google's service practices; Google Play retains purchase information under its policies. Money does not currently provide a mechanism to request deletion of Analytics data associated with an individual app installation. Our support email is available for privacy questions, but it is not currently an operational Analytics data-deletion request service. This does not limit any rights available under applicable law.
Google Play purchases
When you open or use Pro, Google Play may process product availability, localized pricing, purchase status, account eligibility, and purchase tokens under Google's policies. Money does not receive your full payment-card or bank details. A limited local record that a verified Pro purchase previously existed may be retained only to explain an ended entitlement; it never grants access by itself.
Usage analytics and identifiers
Versions with Google Analytics for Firebase send Google information about app activity, such as first opens, sessions, screen views, engagement, and supported in-app purchases. Associated information can include an app-instance identifier, device and operating-system details, app version, language, timestamps, and approximate location derived from network information. Advertising identifiers may also be collected where available and permitted by SDK configuration, device settings, and consent. This is separate from the financial records you enter. We use these reports to understand usage, retention, and the effectiveness of app promotion.
Purchase and subscription measurement
Google Play is linked to Firebase and Google Analytics to share supported in-app purchase and subscription revenue information. Events may include product identifiers, purchase value, currency, and subscription lifecycle information. This concerns purchases of Money Pro, not income or expenses entered in your finance records. Linking services does not guarantee that every purchase or renewal is measured, and Google may treat test purchases differently from real transactions.
Google Ads conversion measurement
We use Google Ads to promote Money outside the app and link Google Analytics with Google Ads to measure app first opens and supported Pro purchases attributed to advertising. This helps us assess campaign cost and effectiveness. Personalised advertising is currently disabled for this Analytics-to-Ads link. This link setting does not itself disable all Analytics or advertising-identifier collection. Money does not currently display third-party advertisements inside the app.
Privacy choices and Google services
The current app does not provide an in-app Analytics opt-out or remote Analytics deletion control. Android privacy settings may let you delete or reset your advertising ID or restrict related advertising features, depending on your device. These controls do not necessarily stop all Analytics collection. Where consent is required, applicable collection must be controlled before it begins; this policy is not a substitute for consent. Google processes information on its infrastructure, which may be outside your country. Read Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy, how Google uses information from partner apps at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and Firebase privacy information at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Third-party destinations
Money does not control Google Play or apps and services opened through Contact or Feedback, Rate App, Invite a Friend, sharing, file selection, or printing. Review the destination provider's terms and privacy policy before sending information.
Children
Money is a general personal record-keeping tool and is not directed to children. A parent or guardian should supervise use by anyone who cannot understand financial records, exports, backups, and device permissions.
Policy changes
This policy may be updated when the app's features or data practices change. A revised effective date should be shown with the updated policy. Material new collection or online processing should be explained before or when it is introduced.
Contact
Money is provided by Graphfix Mode. For privacy questions or feedback, email graphfixmode@gmail.com or use Settings → Support & Feedback → Contact or Feedback. Do not include account numbers, PINs, backup files, or other sensitive financial details unless they are necessary and you trust the selected communication service.
