Acceptance
By installing or using Money, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These Terms apply to the current Android application and the features made available in your installed version.
Purpose of the app
Money is a personal record-keeping and planning tool for accounts, transactions, budgets, savings goals, scheduled payments, reminders, reports, backups, and exports. It does not connect to your bank and does not independently verify the information you enter.
No financial advice
The app does not provide banking, accounting, tax, legal, investment, credit, or other professional advice. Dashboards, balances, budgets, forecasts, progress indicators, and reports are calculated from app data and may not reflect bank statements, pending transactions, fees, taxes, interest, exchange rates, or real-world obligations.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for entering accurate information, reviewing automatically generated transactions, checking calculations against authoritative records, keeping your device secure, and complying with applicable laws. Do not rely on a reminder or scheduled payment as proof that an external bill or bank payment was completed.
Scheduled activity and notifications
A scheduled item creates an entry inside Money; it does not instruct a bank, merchant, or payment network to move funds. Android may delay background work or notifications because of battery restrictions, permissions, restarts, or device settings. Review due items and balances regularly.
Your content
You retain responsibility for and control of the financial information you enter. You grant the app permission to process that information locally only as needed to provide the features you choose, such as calculating balances, generating reports, restoring a backup, or preparing an export.
Backups and exports
You are responsible for creating backups, verifying that files can be accessed, protecting them, and keeping independent copies when the information is important. Restore replaces current local data. Exported and backup files may contain sensitive information and are handled by the destination you select.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the app, attempt to distribute malicious or altered versions as genuine, interfere with security controls, or use it in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of another person.
Third-party services
Money uses Google Play Billing and, in versions with Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics for Firebase and linked Google Ads conversion measurement. Their processing of usage, identifier, and Pro purchase information is described in our Privacy Policy and the providers' applicable policies. Android, device manufacturers, file providers, sharing apps, printers, email providers, and other destinations also operate under their own terms. Their availability and data practices are outside Money's direct control. Accepting these Terms does not replace any separate privacy consent required by law.
Pro plans and purchases
Monthly and yearly Pro subscriptions are processed by Google Play. The final localized price, currency, billing period, tax, eligibility, trial or introductory offer, renewal date, and cancellation terms presented by Google Play govern the transaction. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the next billing date. Cancellation normally stops future renewals while access continues through the paid period. Purchases must be verified and active before Pro is granted through a subscription. Google Play's terms and applicable consumer rights also apply.
Plan changes and Manage Free Access
Upgrading, restoring, renewing, cancelling, pausing, expiring, refunding, revoking, or otherwise losing Pro access does not automatically delete existing local financial records. If your retained data exceeds Free-plan limits, Cash and up to 2 selected bank accounts, 1 selected budget, 1 selected savings goal, and 3 selected scheduled payments remain active. Extra Pro-created items remain visible but read-only; custom categories cannot be used for new entries; scheduled payments that depend on a locked account or custom category are paused; and Pro-only features, including export, are unavailable. Manage Free Access provides a 24-hour review period. You may confirm sooner, and the selection becomes fixed when confirmed or when the deadline expires. Fixed selections cannot be repeatedly switched. Restoring eligible Pro access makes retained Pro features and items available again, subject to their normal status and settings.
Availability and updates
The app may be changed, corrected, expanded, limited, or discontinued. Updates can change compatibility or require a supported Android version. No promise is made that every feature, notification, file provider, or third-party destination will always be available on every device.
Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, Money is provided on an as-available basis without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular financial purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, the app provider is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss caused by inaccurate entries, missed reminders, device failure, deleted data, unsuccessful backups, third-party services, or decisions made from app reports. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.
Ending use and deleting data
You may stop using the app at any time. Delete & Restart clears local app records and preferences; uninstalling generally removes local app storage. Remove backups and exports separately. These actions do not cancel Google Play subscriptions or automatically delete Analytics and purchase information already processed by Google. Manage subscriptions through Google Play and refer to the Privacy Policy for data requests and retention.
Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be revised to reflect feature, legal, or operational changes. The revised effective date should be displayed in the app. Continuing to use a version after updated Terms are presented indicates acceptance where permitted by law.
